June 14th Sunday Oko Ceremony at Myohoji via Zoom audio
This coming Sunday, June 14th, Rev. Takano will be conducting the Oko Ceremony at Myohoji Temple at 10:00 AM, Pacific Daylight Time. Since the temple is closed due to the coronavirus, all Myohoji members are invited to join the ceremony at the same time in front of their altar at home. We will be able to join the Sunday morning Gongyo at Myohoji on Zoom, audio only. Instructions to connect are below.
The Zoom session begins with the Taiko drum at 9:30 AM. Morning Gongyo is at 10:00 PDT (or corresponding time in other time zones). Then, the Zoom session will conclude. Afterward, Rev. Takano would like us on our own to read the Oko Lecture, which is attached to this email.
Please note: Around 10 AM, Rev. Takano will be conducting the Kenzen Offering to the Gohonzon before Gongyo begins. You will hear the bell during this period, but you may not hear Daimoku when both priests are attending with the Kenzen offering trays.
Rev. Takano has asked that the Zoom sessions be limited to Myohoji Hokkeko members only. So, please do not share the login information with anyone outside of Myohoji Temple, and please don't post any login information on Facebook, Instagram, or any other social media.
